# Who Am I?

I’m a software developer who’s been taking things apart and putting them back together for as long as I can remember; computers just happened to become the primary outlet for that. These days, I spend most of my time building web applications, tools, and systems using PHP, Laravel, and other modern web tech.

I’ve always been around technology. Before writing software, I worked in computer repair, IT, troubleshooting, and networking, the kind of work where you learn quickly that things rarely break in clean, predictable ways. That background shaped how I think. I still approach problems like someone who’s had to fix things in the real world, with limited time, limited information, and without the luxury of theoretical perfection.

Like a lot of people of my generation, I started messing with HTML and CSS by customizing my MySpace profile (don’t worry, no screenshots exist). That curiosity turned into a long-term habit of asking "what happens if I change this?" and following it wherever it leads. Eventually, that turned into building real systems people rely on every day.

Outside of software, I’ve spent years in hands-on, physical work; scenic sculpture, fabrication, and building environments where things have weight, dimensions, deadlines, and consequences. You can’t "ship it later" when something has to stand up, fit correctly, or work the first time. That experience trained me to think spatially, design within real constraints, and respect the difference between something that looks good on paper and something that actually works. If you have ever been to Islands of Adventure in Florida you have probably rode on or have touched some of my work.

I also play music and have been in bands for years, which reinforced the same lessons in a different way: collaboration matters, timing matters, and everything works better when you’re listening instead of just pushing.

Currently, I’m the Technical Director of Marketing and Development at TJM Promos, where I sit at the intersection of software, marketing, and business. I build tools that help teams work smarter, track what actually matters, and turn ideas into something usable instead of theoretical.

At the core, I like solving problems. The messy ones. The "this should be simpler" kind of ones. The ones that require equal parts logic, creativity, and stubbornness. I care about clean solutions, long-term thinking, and building things that don’t fight back six months later.

If you’re curious how something works, how it could work better, or why it broke in the first place, we’ll probably get along just fine.
